I believe the service is legit but it has certain flaws. The fact that all odds are hidden is somewhat worryingly though it is not a must for a CSGO case opening service to get popular. One thing which I really feel the need to credit them for is their section called “Live-Trades”. The first thing I checked out was their social media accounts. Their Twitter was registered only in April 2017. They have over 1.5k followers on it with only 5 tweets which were all posted on May 1. After that, the account became inactive.

It is the same thing with their Facebook and Instagram accounts. They were also created in April, just like the Twitter profile. FB page even has the same number of followers and the same posts. This account also became inactive after its last post on May 2. I am already seeing a pattern here.

Their Steam Group is a little bit different. CSDrop has over 20k followers here and they keep posting bullshit giveaways there where no one ever wins. I mean, they spell Daily Free Case as “Dayli”. If a company does not even care to make it correct and presentable, what makes you think they care about the people who are gambling on their site?

Based on their social media accounts, it looks like those followers were bought just to pad up the stats. That is already not a good sign. I then headed to Google to do a little bit of research. What I found was horrifying.

There are multiple threads in the Steam Community exposing this platform. These accusations range from deposits not being credited on users accounts all the way up to missing items in the inventory. It seems that not only they are scamming people out of their money, they are also stealing from them.

Now let us head over to their site itself. CSDrop is actually offering a promo code in their Steam group for $1.00. It sounds fun, right? Like you can open some CSGO cases for free with one dollar. Wrong! You cannot even spend that free $1.00. You need to deposit $5.00 weekly to be able to unbox crates. I mean that is total bullshit. They want you to pay so that you can spend your money. The Daily Free Bonus is also bogus since you need to advertise their site by adding the URL to your Steam Profile. No one has ever won anything from their Daily offer so that is also misleading.

Their FAQ’s page has also a lot of grammatical errors and incorrectly spelled words. This is not really a sign you want to see if you are looking for a good case platform.

There is also an issue of fake reviews that are made on TrustPilot. Technically the company has just started recently, around April, but there are already reviews which are haphazardly written back in 2016. Either those reviews are bought, or the owners of the website themselves write their own feedbacks to get the higher rating.

Let me add one last thing. A lot of users have complained that platform does not actually have items they are offering in their cases in stock. That is the reason for the delayed withdrawals.

Starting off with the usercount, there’s around 100 to 300 users at any given time. Not the most impressive number but it’s a decent amount. The real kicker is when we get to the social media accounts where flamecases has 3k+ likes and followers on facebook as well as almost 10k followers on twitter. Not to mention that the social media accounts interact with the followers. This is a very good sign and it speaks towards the website’s legitimacy.

Social media isn’t everything though so I had to look up the service on google. And I was pleasantly surprised because while there wasn’t much information, the reviews and feedbacks that I did find were for the most part positive. There wasn’t really any complaints from people which is very surprising. Usually any unboxing platform has at least some complaints or negative comments thrown towards it. That’s not the case here and the feedback seems fairly positive.

The support staff also seems good. There hasn’t been any complaints towards them and it is stated that they reply within 48 hours in regards to any issues you may be having. That’s a decently fast response time.

Flamecases definitely seems like one of the safest websites you could use if you want to open CS:GO cases. Not only does it have a good following on social media but there’s also a decent amount of online users at any given time. Compared to other less reliable platforms, this one seems like it’s perfectly fine.

Surprisingly enough the box prices on flamecases are pretty good. There’s a lot of cheap cases that can be opened for those that don’t have that much money available. There’s also a lot of variety. While there are cheap crates there’s also expensive ones for people that want to spend a lot. Overall the prices are quite good especially compared to other case opening websites. The only downside to the prices is that there’s no drop rates stated. So you don’t really know what your chances of winning something you like are.

Unfortunately for flamecases aside from the “Free Case” option, the website doesn’t offer any unique features whatsoever. Although most things on it are positive and good, the fact that there aren’t any unique features is definitely a downside. That being said I’d take a safe to use service with no unique features over an unsafe one with a lot of features any day of the week.

It is always a good thing to check how much following they have in their social media accounts. They have linked two accounts on the top of the page. These accounts were Facebook and VK, which is a platform that works like FB but only in Russian.

So the first link was their Facebook, and when I clicked it, It redirected me to a Facebook user account. It is not even a Facebook page but a real live account that they hastily created just so that they can put a link. There are only a couple of pictures in here, no friends, and basically empty.

The next one I looked up was their VK account. This one is very different from the Facebook page: very organized, with information and updates every few days. This account also amassed 4.8k followers while their FB has none. Also on their VK account, all the links are always redirected to MaxiDrop.ru. At this point, I was already suspecting that the RU site is the real one and the .com is an impostor. So I did the next best thing and researched more.

I hopped on MaxiDrop.ru. Everything looks the same albeit from the language, with the RU site being in full Russian. The first thing I did was check the links on the social media accounts. To my surprise, all the links redirect to the same pages. The hastily created account for Facebook and the already established VK account.

Being in its middle stages, I could not find anything in Google regarding their reputation or background. The user count itself has 22 people online, but there are 29k users registered. With that kind of numbers, it tells us one thing. This is a dying service. They have not even reached a full year yet but they already have no users logging in.

On the FAQ’s page, they are claiming that they are in its beta stages, and still working out on bugs and crashes. It is not a bad thing. At least they have the courage to admit that the design is not perfect yet. They even post the bugs that they have found out and fixed on VK. I’ll commend them on that one.

Overall, Maxidrop has some good points and some very bad points, but the bad outweighs the good. For a website running since December 2016, there should be at least a couple of complaints or accolades that are going to surface in Google search. Weird thing is, there is none. Either the people who play there tend to solve problems through the chat support or the site is just basically dead.

I am going to classify this site as Risky due to the reasons I outlined before and what I will cover in the later sections of this review. If you were to ask my opinion though, I would never put my hard earned money on here.

Their referral system is somewhat primitive. They still use links that you need to give out to people to invite them. They also do not have a structured referral system or rules. All it says is, and I will quote what is written on their FAQ’s page, “Extending an invite link you get 5% of charges your referrals.” That is the only explanation you get from them.

And check this out, the people you pass your link out to, do not even get bonuses for being referred on the platform. There is no free money for new users. There is no incentive for people to join here and waste their time and money if you are not going to give them a teaser for it. Their system is flawed right from the start.

The prices for their cases are too ridiculously high. For example, they sell the Industrial Grade box for $0.25. On other unboxing services, you can get a higher quality crate for $0.05 more since the common cost for the Mil-Spec boxes is $0.30.

The prices of their Collections cases are also very erratic. For example, Assault Collection on other platforms cost $2.80. Here on MaxiDrop, they will charge you $5.34 for the same stuff! Talk about ludicrous. Most of their boxes in their Collections arsenal are overpriced by a margin of $0.20 or more.

Basically, this is not a CS:GO box opening site where you can have fun and make a little profit. This has become a cashcow of the owner and they are bleeding their users dry and ripping them off. The returns on the items you sell back most of the time won’t cover the price of the crate.

They do have a couple of good features here. The first one is the cost for of their standard CS:GO cases. They only charge you for the price of the key used to open those boxes which they base on the Steam market.

The second one is the Loyalty Program. Everytime you unbox, you gain experience points. And when you have enough experience points, you gain a level. Their Loyalty Program states that you will be guaranteed to receive an expensive drop the higher the level you have.

Now here comes the bad features of MaxiDrop, and it all revolves around their Leveling system. The cheaper the case you are opening, the lower the experience points it gives. Here is an example, their cheapest one is the Industrial Grade box which costs $0.25. Opening it gives you 14 XP. You start out at Level 1 here, and the experience points needed to be able to hit Level 2 is 2000 XP.

So if you plan on getting to the next level and aiming for the “guaranteed” expensive drop and just open the cheapest crate to get there, you would need to open 143 Industrial Grade boxes which amount to $35.75. And you would end up with very low valued skins, which would be 95% of the lot. I would consider you a very lucky person if you get an AK-47 Predator Factory New that costs around $12.00, but that would not put you break even.

The next bad feature is their “Bonus” cases. This is directly tied into their Loyalty Program. This is where you are “guaranteed” to get expensive skins. The first one in the Bonus tier will guarantee you an item that is worth between $10 to $70. There are two drawbacks to that. The first one is, you have to reach Level 5 first before you become eligible in the lowest tier of their “Bonus” boxes. The second drawback is that they actually raffle the skin between users.

In short, you have to pay an insane amount of money to be eligible to join a giveaway. You are actually paying them to give you a chance to win an item that will not even recoup your losses. Other than that, I only see a few names that constantly win the giveaways. At this point, I am not even entirely sure if some these users are real people or just accounts made by the owner just for show.

I have scoured Google for information about CaseGod, but since it is new, there is little info about them. There are no Steam Community or sub reddits about legitimacy. The only piece of information that I found out is a Twitter account. What is unsettling though is that their Twitter has 14.3k followers. It might have to do with the Giveaway they did for a promotion in the past to hype up the account. Even then, that promotion still does not have any winners based on the tweets and the event was launched back in November 2016. There are messages in there dating as far as February 2017 and there is still no winner announced in that AWP Dragon Lore raffle. That is a Strike One in my book.

Second thing is, their Twitter account has only 5 tweets. Each message was spaced at a month or two months in between. The first tweet, which was the promotional giveaway was in November. Next one was in February, then there was one in March. The most recent messages were in June when they launched the site. In each of those tweets, people are complaining about their raffles and also their website that it does not work properly. That is a Strike Two in my opinion, based on the legitimacy of CaseGod.

They do not even interact with the people in those tweets. I looked at all the replies to their giveaway message and not once have I seen the account owner reply. Not only that, their tweets are somewhat lacking in content and the screenshot for the Dragon Lore raffle might have been downloaded from Google and they just put in their designs on it. They chose the most common picture of the Dragon Lore and passed it off like they owned it.

Now let’s head over to the website itself. I was looking for a support link anywhere and I could not find it. All the links that they have in there is the Affiliate, FAQ and the Containers link. The FAQ page is a direct copy from HellCase(check fresh review), which is another popular unboxing site. They did not even bother to make their own FAQ’s page. The web design itself is a direct copy of KuyCase as well. They just changed up the image files for the containers to make it look original. What is funny though is that the deposit works properly, which only means one thing. The owners of this service have only one thing in mind. To SCAM as many people as they can.

With all these information that is readily available on Twitter and Google, it seems that they already have destroyed their reputation before they even launched. I would not be surprised if, in the future, lots of people will get scammed and then would complain in Steam Community and in Reddit, which are the most common venting places of these gamblers.

They do not have any special or unique features nor cases on this website. This is just a copy of other popular case opening platforms. They offer 16 cases in total but what is laughable is 12 of those have missing items. You cannot even open them. That means, there are only 4 crates that you can actually unbox.

You are able to create custom cases too where you can customize the item drops inside. Usually at other sites, when you create a custom box, you get a percentage of the money everytime it is opened. Over here you get nothing. They take everything, so I would not advise creating anything in here since it is a waste of your time.

First and foremost, the platform has a big following on social media. On Facebook the kuycase page has 4000+ likes. While that doesn’t seem too impressive it is a solid number. The real difference comes when we look at their Twitter though which has 15,000+ followers. In terms of social media, the service is definitely doing very well and that’s always a good thing.

When it comes to the opinions on the internet, the biggest complaint about them seems to be that the website doesn’t let people properly withdraw their winnings.
